Get your feet wet and paddle your way through the Brisbane River on one of the many kayak tours. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced paddler, you’ll get a good and leisurely workout as you discover the beauty of the beautiful river city. Check out these kayak tours.

Now get up close and personal with one of Australia’s favourite furry friend at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world’s first and largest Koala Sanctuary. Here you’ll get to cuddle and hold a koala as Queensland is one of the only two Australian states that allow you to do so, so don’t miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime!

For Mediterranean and Spanish eats, head to Black Fire, the in-house restaurant at Capri by Fraser, Brisbane / Australia. Well-known for its farm-to-table menu, expect a variety of great meat such as the slow-roasted suckling pig, lamb and an array of beef cuts.

Climbing the Story Bridge in Brisbane

Get the best view of Brisbane from vantage point by taking a guided tour at Brisbane’s Story Bridge. The two-hour climb takes you from the Story Bridge Adventure Climb headquarters through a suspended walkway, all the way up to the viewing platform at the top, and back down. If sunset watching is on your to-do list, take their twilight climbs and be ready for the golden hour glow from above.

Keep the adrenaline going with beats at The Zoo, a nightclub that has been a crucial force of Brisbane’s live music scene since 1992. Immerse yourselves into the eclectic line up of alternative music that sees everything from hip-hop to folk and reggae every night.

Now dig in for a bite at Ben’s Burger, an American-style burger joint which took the Brisbane burger scene by storm in 2014. Served with their signature brioche bun, be sure to try their Cheesy burger and Hershey chocolate thick shake for the best tasting fast food ever.

If you’ve answered mostly Cs, you’re a wanderer – You should roam the Southbank Collective Market, chill at the Streets Beach, and call it a day at Mr and Mrs G Riverbar.

If you’re in for the weekend, start your journey at the thriving Southbank Collective Market. Located right in the heart of South Bank, simply stroll through and you’ll find many unique trinkets, crafts, collectables, homewares and more. The Markets are held every Friday evening from 5pm to 9pm, all Saturday from 10am to 9pm, and Sunday from 9am to 4pm.

And while you’re at South Bank, wander a bit further into the Parklands and you’ll find a gem within the city – Streets Beach, a South Bank icon which boasts as Australia’s only inner-city, man-made beach. Take a dip here or lay out your mats and soak up the sun for the rest of the day.

If you’ve answered mostly Ds, you’re a city dweller – You should shop at James Street, visit the Queensland Art Gallery, and dine at Eat Street Northshore.

Kick off your day with some serious shopping at James Street, a major shopping stretch lined with over 130 speciality boutiques. From local cult favourites like Gail Sorronda and Camilla, to handmade jewellery by Stone & Metal and more, James Street precinct will be your fashion haven and inspiration for your next #ootd.

Then satisfy your curious affections for art with a museum walk. Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art is home to an extensive collection of 17,000 pieces, ranging from works of historical, modern and contemporary art, by local and international artists.
